Park Factors

Park Factors is an accordion-fold book with a removable spine, letterpress printed text, and pressure print images.
Together with Ground Rules, these books bring together archival research, writing, and image and form-making to examine unpredictability through stories from caring for my mother while she had lung cancer. Park Factors uses images from her kitchen storage and a strangely relational baseball statistic – the park factor – that measures the relative likelihood of events across different ballparks to ask how spaces once occupied by loved ones change after they die.
